Congrats guys and gals of SE! without the members of SE Hawaii, we couldnt have been nominated for the Governors Awards for Volunteers..
Thanks to Cec Spamcan for organizing most of the community service events..
SE Hawaii has been in the past 2 years helping elderly people move homes. we provide a service that most elders can afford on there fixed income.. Moving for them would cost over 1000.00 but with the help of SE Hawaii members they can use that money for other things like medication and food..
This is why we all should be invovled in this events.. This shows that SE is a postive car club and is committed to helping our communities
Cross your fingers that we get selected.. but in all its very honoring just to be recondnized
Dear Marshall:
The Housing Assistance Program would like to nominate the Scion Club for the Governor’s Awards for Volunteers. This is a new awards event. It sounds like not all that get nominated get selected for the Awards, but you all should have a good chance! You do great work for our elders.
For the application, I need a contact person, address, and Daytime phone #.
Would that be you? Could you give me this info? The award recipients will be posted on the following website also after 9/9/08:
Governor’s Award is specific to volunteers, various age categories, as well as organizations and businesses.

I need to submit the info by 8/8 at the latest.
Thank you
Betty Lou Larson
