I got so many mods that I want to make on my 2nd gen, but with slow sales right now, mounting bills and the Christmas season right around the corner, the mods will need to wait till the economy improves and I pay down some bills. Sad

On the 2nd gen cars, just order a door handle cap for the passenger side and put um on the drivers side. Front door left and right caps can interchange since passenger side no more keyhole anymore.

The xD the same, pass. no mo kyhole. I thought about doing that but the price of preppeing and painting ONE door handle going kill me. So, I opted on this for now.

When I decide to paint a whole bunch of stuff, then that will be one of the things to get.

Door handle cap comes color matched. You need to specify paint code when ordering cap from Toyota.

I thought about that too....
The big disadvantage is when your remote goes bad or if the battery dies on the remote. At least with the cap, you can still pry it off and use the key to open the door. I hope you neva put too much glue.

Removing that cap is easy. Inside the door jamb there is a black round plastic plug between the door skin and the inside door panel. Behind this plug is a torx head screw the holds this cap/lock assembly in place. Loosen this screw and you can remove the cap/lock assembly. You don't even have to remove the inner door panels. The back door handle caps are a different story though. They are harder to remove.
